Overview
Jharkhand's combined examination for trained assistant teachers.
The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission has invited applications for the Trained Assistant Acharya (Para Teacher) Combined Competitive Examination 2026. Two brochures cover it: Advertisement No. 04/2026 for 6,101 regular posts and No. 05/2026 for 1,198 backlog posts, 7,299 in all.
Applications run from 29 September to 18 October 2026, with photograph and signature uploads until 22 October and a correction window on 23 and 24 October.

Eligibility
A trained teaching qualification, and age counted on 1 August 2026.
The brochure sets the educational and training qualification for each level — intermediate with teacher training for Classes 1 to 5, and graduation with training for Classes 6 to 8 in the chosen stream. Candidates must meet the qualification in the brochure's own terms; check the level you are applying to.

Application fee
₹100, halved for Jharkhand SC and ST candidates.

Exam pattern
Three papers; the first only qualifies.

The brochure provides for no deduction of marks for wrong answers, so there is nothing to lose by attempting every question.
