Divisional cadre posts in the Public Works (R&B) Department, decided by one written test.

JKSSB's Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2026, dated 6 July 2026, covers 357 divisional cadre posts in the Public Works (R&B) Department: 97 Draftsman (Civil) and 260 Works Supervisor. Applications opened on 1 August 2026.

Selection is by the merit of a written OMR exam alone, followed by document verification. There is no interview or skill test.

A J&K domicile, the trade qualification, and age on 1 January 2026.

Ex-servicemen may deduct their service from their age, provided the result is within three years of the limit. A valid J&K domicile certificate is mandatory, and the qualification and category certificate must be held by the cut-off date.

Exam pattern

Objective questions in English, with negative marking.

  • The written exam is objective, multiple choice, and set in English only.
  • Selection is on merit in the written OMR exam alone.
  • The syllabus will be notified separately on jkssb.nic.in.

Negative marking

A quarter of a question's marks is deducted for each wrong answer.
