Overview

Lecturer posts in Chhattisgarh government schools, exam set for 29 November.

Chhattisgarh Karmachari Chayan Mandal is conducting the written recruitment examination LSL26 for 854 Lecturer posts under the Directorate of Public Instruction. The posts are split between two cadres: 424 in the E cadre and 430 in the T cadre.

The examination instructions, numbered ESTB-101/207/2025/176 and dated 21 September 2026, set applications from 29 September to 5 PM on 26 October 2026, with error correction until 29 October. The exam is on Sunday 29 November 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM, at five divisional headquarters. Admit cards are expected on 23 November.

Eligibility

A second-class master's degree with B.Ed., and Chhattisgarh residence.

  • A postgraduate degree in the relevant subject in the second division from a recognised university.
  • A B.Ed. degree.
  • A Chhattisgarh local resident certificate.

Age (as on 1 January 2026)

At least 21 and not yet 35. SC, ST and OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates get five years, women ten years, and serving government employees may apply up to 38; the overall ceiling after relaxation is 45.

Chhattisgarh residents get the fee back

Under state rules, local resident candidates who actually appear for the exam have the examination fee refunded to the bank account used to pay it, after the result is declared.

Exam pattern

100 OMR questions in two hours, with a quarter mark off for errors.

  • 100 objective questions, one mark each.
  • Answered on an OMR sheet in blue or black dot pen.
  • A quarter of a mark is deducted for a wrong answer, and for marking more than one option.
  • Unattempted questions score zero and carry no penalty.

The result is prepared from the details you entered in the application, and CGSSB will not correct them later. The select list is valid for six months, with a waiting list of up to 25% of the posts valid for nine months.
